Backup Insulation Materials are deployed between the safety lining and the outer steel shell of the AOD converter. Their critical function is to manage the intense thermal profile of the vessel, preventing the steel shell from overheating and warping.

Our range includes high-strength calcium silicate boards, ceramic fiber papers, and microporous panels. These materials boast exceptionally low thermal conductivity combined with the mechanical resilience necessary to absorb the expansion of the working and safety linings, thereby ensuring the long-term structural integrity of the converter shell.
