These systems play a critical role in ensuring precise steel flow rates, maintaining steel cleanliness, minimizing turbulence, and supporting safe and efficient steel transfer from ladles to tundishes and moulds.

Modern Flow Control Systems consist of a combination of specialized components including slide gate plates, collector nozzles, upper and lower nozzles, submerged entry nozzles (SENs), metering nozzles, seating blocks, well blocks, porous plugs, and associated refractory assemblies. Designed to operate under extreme temperatures and severe metallurgical conditions, these systems help improve casting consistency, reduce contamination, and enhance overall steel quality.
