Refractory Castables for AOD applications are high-strength, monolithic materials extensively used for casting the converter lip ring, cone sections, and for performing rapid, large-scale zonal repairs where bricklaying is impractical.

Formulated with ultra-low cement and reinforced with stainless steel fibers, these castables exhibit phenomenal resistance to mechanical impact from charging scrap and abrasion from escaping exhaust gases. They flow easily during installation and cure to form a dense, impenetrable matrix that significantly outlasts traditional brick in high-impact zones.
