The slag line in an AOD converter shifts dramatically due to the tilting of the vessel and vigorous stirring. Our Slag Line Refractories are engineered to combat the intense chemical erosion caused by the highly fluid, aggressive slags generated during the reduction and desulfurization phases.

Utilizing highly densified basic bricks with extremely low porosity, these refractories prevent the infiltration of fluid slag into the brick matrix. This effectively stops structural spalling before it starts, ensuring a balanced wear profile across the converter and preventing premature localized failures.
