Purging Systems, including highly engineered porous plugs and seating blocks, are vital for injecting inert gases (like Argon) into the molten bath. While AODs rely on side-tuyeres, supplementary bottom purging is often used in related secondary metallurgical ladles to ensure complete homogenization.
