Product Overview

Neutral Ramming Mass

Neutral Ramming Mass is a high-performance refractory lining material specifically developed for induction furnaces handling stainless steel, alloy steel, manganese steel, and other special metal grades. Manufactured using carefully selected alumina, spinel-forming materials, and high-purity refractory aggregates, this lining material offers excellent resistance to both acidic and basic slag environments while maintaining superior thermal stability under demanding melting conditions.

Unlike acidic silica-based linings, Neutral Ramming Mass provides greater versatility in melting operations where slag chemistry varies or where highly alloyed metals are processed. Its balanced chemical characteristics help reduce refractory wear, minimize slag penetration, and maintain lining integrity during repeated thermal cycles. This makes it an ideal choice for foundries and steel plants producing premium alloy and specialty steel grades.

  • Excellent resistance to both acidic and basic slag attack
  • Superior thermal shock and thermal cycling resistance
  • Reduced metal and slag penetration into the lining
  • Longer campaign life for alloy and specialty steel melting applications
